Grapat is a small family project that materialized from leaving the city to live in a natural environment.

The wood they use comes from sustainable forests. Wood is the source that inspires us daily. It is robust, soft and hard, it is warm, it sounds good and it smells good.

The dyes are based on water and non-toxic that comply with the European safety regulations.

The finishes are made with waxes and oils of vegetable origin. The oils can have a strong aroma at first, but it loses it with the days. Enjoy the smell!

For care or cleaning of the parts, they must be in a dry place, can be wiped with a damp cloth and dry immediately. The pieces should not be submerged in water nor should disinfectant be used.

Gluckskafer are a family business based in Germany, they have a strong environmental commitment. They only use selected wood, mainly beech and maple, from European forests certified for sustainable forestry according to FSC / PEFC standards.

During production, all wood waste is collected and recycled, and only certified paints, mainly based on water, are used. These are ecological and completely safe for children’s health. Also, due to the natural finish the toys are easier to stack and play as they don’t slide so easy.

Gluckskafer make open-ended toys that allow the child free play using their imaginations, and that encourage children to discover and learn for themselves. Their toys show natural textures and are inspired by the natural world around us.
